You get all your answers during the first ten minutes or so and then usually nothing. So is it alright if I repeat my question a few times looking for some more responses? Or do you think that's annoying and rude?

In response to "wide awake" - sometimes I get 10 answers, but typically eight of them either don't adress the question or don't answer it completely.

And when I'm looking for a public opinion I need a number of answers to get an idea of what the people do in general.

It gets annoying...but if you put something like "part 2" or "need more responses this time", it helps.

Absolutely not OK - not only is it rude, but it is against Yahoo's guidelines for this site about "repeated postings."

What you are saying when you post multiple times to your answerers is, "I can't be bothered reading your answers, or appreciating the time you spent answering." Surely if you get ten answers at least one of them must have something of value, unless it was a bad or incomprehensible question to begin with.

Ask away. Maybe you could space your question(s) out over a period of hours or days. It doesn't annoy me. That's what this site is for, right?
