I understood the E Coli was thought to have contaminated other vegetables. Anyone know what else we are supposed to be avoiding?

Prior to this 'spinach affair', I had stopped eating raw spinach and was only eating a raw vegetable at home. I wash all vegetables, i.e., potatoes, carrots with hot water before peeling, I scrub melons with soap. water and a brush for 2-3 minutes and rinse in very hot water before drying and storing or cutting them.
I cannot tell you all I do or avoid, but fruit and vegetables growing on or close to the ground and those that might have been irrigated are the most risky.
Consider caution and cooking rather then avoiding them.

Actually, once the contaminated veggies are gone, there shouldn't be a problem. I avoid radishes, but that's just due to personal preference. And spinach has been one of my favorite foods for almost my entire life.

All you have to do is cook the stuff, and it'll be just fine. Don't let the media scare you out of eating healthy!
