The dryfood--you should mix some milk in with the kitten food and make sure it is kitten food not cat. The food has to be moist. The litter box question i am not quite sure, i have three cats and they just kinda taught eachother. I havent had any problems with that. I suggest--get a new litter box just for the kitten that the other cats cant use. An if she starts to use that one then wait like a week and then put all litter boxes together but dont move hers move the other litter box to hers.

i have had several kittens that would not use the litter box,... several meaning exactly 5 over the years. Only one of which ever did use the litter box.
I tried everything even boarding the lil kitten in a fresh clean dry litter box for over 24 hours and the lil cuz waited until I let him out then he promptly peeped on the carpet,..
i have found that if they won't use the litter box as a kitten,...you can not force them to,.. they may as well be an outside cat on a farm somewhere
longer a cat house,..

We had a litter of cats years ago, and of the 4, three took to the litter box like fish to water. Number 4 was a problem - she wouldn't use the litter boxes, but always went under the end table in the living room.
Someone suggested we put a litter box where she was going, and that was fine - she used it until one of the other cats would use it, and then she would go right beside it.
Some cats refuse to toilet where other cats have toileted. We ended up having to get her her own box for the time she was with us, and keep the other cats out of it.
Start with putting the box in her favorite "toileting" place. Make sure the other cats DON'T USE IT, and see if that helps the problem.

Lots of praise when she's in the liter box show her that she needs to scratch at the litter, take her paw and show her. If the other cats are using the same litter box that might be the problem. use a very small half box with different kind of litter and some kittens need privacy. Yes they do get stage fright.

Now some might think that this is mean, but it is not. Lock the cute little kitty in the room with the litter box. Preferably the bathroom. then leave the kitty there for a few hours. and do that for like 2 days, and kitty knows where it box is!

make sure the litter box is low enough for her to get into by herself. other than that, it may just take time because she is so young. as far as the food, you may need to soak it in hot water for several minutes and let it get soft. if that doesn't work, then change brands. good luck!!!
