all around the alter after the consecration we would see the shine of blood?

To churchmus: what makes you say you doubt I'd be interested--you are kind of nasty. Wouldn't the miracle in Italy where the wine in deed turned into blood make the Luminol glow. I DO believe in the REAL presence.

If God so chose.

If God can create the universe in 7 days, could He if He chose turn Bread and Wine into His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

You are correct. Yes HE CAN, and does.

Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever.

No. And while I doubt you are interested in a conversation on the topic, I'll share anyway.

When we are talking about the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ, we don't say that the matter changes it's atomic makeup or its external appearance. We are saying that its essense, it's very being and identity has changed. (cross reference the subject of "ontology" in philosophy)

To start with an easier way of looking at things, what is it that makes a chair a chair? The number of legs, the flat surface, the way people use it? None of these by themselves get at "chairness" yet somehow we recognize a chair when we see one. Christians know the Body and Blood of Christ through this same knowing, fueled by faith and belief.

No, because the blood has been transmogrified (I think that's the word) into wine.

Damn, I did it again - the correct word is transubstantiated. (Thank you Armistad Maupin).

Probably not. No real, physical blood has been spilled.
