I would like to setup a walk on campus with money going to a good cause such as the breast cancer cause. I don't know how to set it up. It would be through my sorority and it would be open to anyone. Typically how long or big is a walk usually? How do I get big sponsors like united way to help? Any suggestions?

I would first check with other organizations in your area to see what walks they already have established. Then contact a professor in your social work or humans services department to see how they can help. You'll have to do a little research to see what requirements must be met. I think it would be easier to connect with a non-profit group and see how you could help with things they already have in place.

Walks are anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours and can be done on a track or just around campus etc.
