I always feels like I have to clear my throat or cough - it always feels like there is something caught in my throat. Sometimes when I cough I cough up a clear phlem? Does anyone know what causes this???
It is annoying and I am sick and tired of always coughing as then it makes me sometimes loose my voice and my throat gets sore. Any ideas?

No I don't smoke, I have never had allergies at least none that I know of - do you think I shoudl get an allergy test done?

dehydration can cause a dry annoying cough. try doubling the amount of fluids (especially water) that you drink. it really helps. my son had the same type of problem, and after seeing three doctors, they finally figured out that he was dehydrated, even though he drank lots of water. but they tried eveerything before they figured it out...even allergy tests...no allergies or illnesses. he just needed more water. try it, it might help you too.

Could be post-nasal drip. Do you suffer from allergies or sinusitis? It could also be acid reflux. The best thing I can tell you is check with a doctor and, meanwhile, drink some hot tea and a lot of water.

well sounds like allergies to me...since those are common symptoms...try taking benadryl, or some other sort of allergy meds for a while and see if there is any improvment.
