It's obvious in your last life that you were more enlightened spiritually in your beliefs but somehow, your Karma was blighted.
In your new lower incarnation level, you're going to have to work harder to overcome your spiritual transgressions to reach a new awareness and regain your lost stature.
The people you talk to could be wrong....on the other hand....
The best course of action is to inquire within.

this life I am a non conforming IT (yes, it) without an agenda and just exist
all former lives were in last and current century, same name but entirely different life
each time change occured I ditched my last life and embraced the new one without physically dying, just evolving
