Where can I buy a large cart or stoller for my 1st grader?

Question

When I go to trade shows or amuesment parks I end up dragging my child and carring several heavy bags. I need a cart, like the ones at Khol's, but I don't know where to buy something like that. Thanks any help is appreciated. Lora

Why not get a wagon with the high sides that are also removeable. That will give your child room and room for extras you buy. It is also easy for your child to get in out of when they would like. Alot easier to move around small places than some of these carts I have seen too.

You can get the wagons at Wal-mart, Kmart, Toys R Us, ect...

Most 1st graders are full of endless energy. My son would have been mortified if I tried to put him in a stroller in 1st grade, even preschool for that matter. He/She is probably just bored at the trade shows, maybe he could stay at Gramma's on days like that. At amusement parks most kids cant be stopped. They end up dragging us along. Maybe you just need a cart for your stuff.

I suggest a wagon. Your 1st grader may think it a bit wierd to be in a baby stroller, but riding in a wagon is a lot of fun. As they grow they will continue to use the wagon. My 16 year old uses his wagon to haul potting soil around the backyard when its time to plant in the spring.
Get something well built and durable, something that will last, and maybe your child will be using it with their child.

Wow what negative response. People really need to read the questions. If you are a parent you know that you are not super parents. When you go to places like that you need ten extra hands. I have a plastic red wagon from target(very sturdy) that I use and my 3 yr old can sit and bring a couple toys and have snacks and MOST IMPORTANT I can keep my eyes on him and I know he is safe. and I am able to put other bags on it as well.

I know exactly how you feel, however my sonis 3. I don't know where you can get one that large. At amusement parks you can rent strollers and at trade shows he/she should walk since they aren't THAT large. But if you insist on having a a stroller then I would look at Toys R Us and look at places that you can buy wheelchairs. Mentally handicapped kids have larger strollers, you can find a larger stroller in those places.

As I see it the options are buy a stroller and teach your child to be lazy so they grow to be deadbeats and my kids have to support them through the welfare system . option two force the child to walk everywhere thus causing the child to overwork at everything driving them to a mental breakdown or option three get a wagon to drag them all over creation thus causing yourself to have lower back pain and putting you on welfare so I have to pay for you.
No matter how you slice it someone will be unhappy.

Do not put your first grader in a stroller!!!! If her friends ended up seeing her in a stroller she would never live it down. Kids are cruel and kids in strollers are babies.
Consider a wagon (though most are not designed for children that old).

At 1st grade a child should be able to walk with you respectivly. IF there are other issues not disclosed maybe a wagon would work.

strollers are for infants. My son is in kindergarten and i make him walk. When we take him to disneyland, knotts, or other amusement parks he knows that if wants to go he has to walk. when i was his age i had to walk no matter how tired i was. I think if us the parents teach them to take the easy way out of things now, that is what they will try to do when they are older. Kids need to be challenged and if challenge means walking, then let them walk.

Excercise is good for kids! they need it.
