I believe in the worship of marijuana. Well, at least I used to. Only occasionally now, when I get the craving.

This is a german witch writing. In my faith it is all about: what is good for you (or the person you care about)?

In former times drugs (like funghi, certain mushrooms) were used to make some ointments, the poison of the funghi went through the skin right into the blood stream and caused an illusion of flying. This is extremely dangerous, but in the old days, the users did not know that.

I would never use that, and whenever the recipes are discussed, a warning about the dangers is always given with it.

Now, a little wine (not more than two glasses!) or a good (german or bohemian) beer is nice with a feast. But as usual, it is always about HOW MUCH is good for you. When you get drunk, it is not good. So the wise ones know exactly how much they can consume without getting drunk or ill. That of course takes life experience...

Basically, everyone is responsible for their own deeds, and as long as you don't harm anyone with your deeds, it is ok.

An example: if you like to drink a full bottle of wine in one night all by yourself, that is fine as long as you stay home and nobody depends on your sobriety. As soon as you have animals, children or elderly to care for (hence you should be sober!), it would be considered evil to get drunk.
And driving drunken is always a no-brainer, that is not even necessary to be discussed (I hope, at least!)

particularly a libertarian supporter, are not you? only curious, ... "i'm oftentimes in favour of a non-interventionalist coverage, with some exceptions (eg. I supported the intervention in Libya, I retrospectively help the Gulf conflict)." Why do you help those 2 cases? How are they any distinctive then Germany in WWII, Korea in the 1950's, Vietnam in the 60's??? seems while you're an interventionist you will possibly oppose any involvement in anybody's corporation, the way Switzerland is. Or do you purely help interventionism till the sh*t hits the fan and we get sucked into different wars?

As a Christian I do not think my religion would prohibit the use of medication to help repair my flesh or soothe my pains. I am pretty certain though, that to use drugs in the recreational sence would be frowned upon as it would distract my thoughts from being Christ like and honoring God.

The only rule my religion has is: An If It Harm None, do As Thou Will.. This is not as easy as it may sound nor as freely open as it may sound. I do not use illegal drugs or even drink because in my case even drinking is doing harm to my body.

drug usage as in medication or illegal ?

if medication then even though we have wonderful healers we say it would be better complimented with the medical proffesion

if illegal drugs .. then we would not promote it , the mind should be sober and clear

Neo-Pagan here.

It is a personal choice.

But personally I'm not going to give a person much sympathy if they end up with liver damage, brain damage, a diseased spleen, etc.

And if you drive in an altered state I hope you get to spend many nights in jail.

But that is just me.

Drugs or medication. Theres a difference. Medication should be used if needed - illegal drugs are looked at just like alcohol. One should not be drunk with wine.

No intoxicants allowed whatsoever including cigarettes, alcohol and the like.

O You who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones and (divination by) arrows are an abomination of Satan’s handiwork. Avoid (such abominations) that you may prosper. (5:90)
