Ep. 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

And these are evil days indeed........

Peace man
And thank you for encouraging ME.

Eph. 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Sure thing, and pray for me, and the world as well.

In this battle, we are not fighting against what we can see, but what we cannot see; the foul and evil spirits that abound in this world that come against us. We are fighting against rulers that are of the darkness of this world we live in. What an amazing thing to realize you are in a battle that no earthly soul has called you up for; no president, king, nor any great religious leader, but God Himself has called you.

My wife and I try aur best to keep our "armor" on. I thank God for a faithful wife!

Didn't brother Paul have it right when he said:

Eph. 6:14-17
"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:..?

Thank YOU Andi B!!!

We NEED each other!! We are not against each other. We ought to be striving to be one.

Our armor is spiritual since the battle we are in is spiritual. There are six items in this armor; helmet, breastplate, shield, loincloth, sword, and shoes. In order from head to toe; salvation, righteousness, faith, truth, the word of God, and peace. These are all you need in this battle. In the beginning, you received salvation. Then Jesus became your righteousness, because you have none of your own.

But, through HIM, "we can do ALL things"

With all do respect...I'm speaking of the battle that Paul is speaking of. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.

HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT A PHYSICAL WARFARE.

And he spoke by the authority of Christ.
Please pray about it.

Pray for me sister

It happen at times to ALL of us. But we have each other to encourage.

To get it all on. You've got to recognize that you are without. He is blessing you RIGHT NOW!

You've got a battle to fight. GO GIRL!!!

I Tim. 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Love you Sister

It's BETTER than American Express, isn't it?
And look at the Reward - Jesus said;

Rev 2:10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

I...want....u....2....BE OF GOOD CHEER!

Pick it back up, girl! Before it is time and everlasting to late!

YOU HAVE A CALLING FROM THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

Be more concerned with your spiritual life than your physical life; it is more important since it will be for eternity! Endure hardness; keep on keeping on, don't give up, hang in there, fight a good fight of faith.

I Peter 5:8 (again)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

Peace

Mother Goose,

And I know you're a wonderful mother for it!

Raise those young girls...IN THE LORD!

We, God's children, are kept by the faith He has given us all the way to the end of the road of salvation. If we drop that shield of faith, and receive the enemies power on us, we are indeed in great trouble! You must keep the faith all the way unto the end! I try to stress the fact of keeping the faith all your days upon this earth. You can see that you must, I repeat, must keep your faith unto the end of your days or the Lord's return (whichever comes first!). The end of your faith is the salvation of your soul; that's when you can stand on the other side of this life and shout "I'm saved!"

Peace sister

Thanks for the reminder...Actually I was running around like most of us do with nothing more than the Helmet of salvation, which means I was a Christian streaker....Had my salvation, but was naked from the neck down!! And running around trying to deflect the flaming arrows of the wicked one without my shield of faith, and no sword....*sigh*

I'm going to get dressed...THANKS!!

Yes.

(Ephesians 6:11-18) Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; 12 because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places. 13 On this account take up the complete suit of armor from God, that YOU may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after YOU have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm, therefore, with YOUR loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and with YOUR feet shod with the equipment of the good news of peace. 16 Above all things, take up the large shield of faith, with which YOU will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles. 17 Also, accept the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, that is, God’s word, 18 while with every form of prayer and supplication YOU carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit.

Though I always enjoyed singing, "Onward Christian Soldiers" in church as I was going growing up (I think because of the upbeat tempo) when I was old enough to start thinking about it, I decided I really didn't like the concept of being a Christian soldier ready to do battle.

I think rather than fight and put on the armor to get ready to fight, I would rather just love. If someone is ready to fight, it implies negativity. I feel God is a positive, loving force, and I would rather be showing love than fighting. (Turn the other cheek...)

Every warrior of the Lord should always put on the FULL Armour of God my husband and I do.

This is an awesome passage of scripture and thank you for posting.

Yes, I do.
But, notice, there is nothing in the whole armor of God that covers the back. We must meet our challenges head on!
And you are right about these days...
