Check with your local wine shop or cellar. Also, you may want to try to get it online. Do a search for it. Some grocery stores that pride themselves on wine can order just about anything for you and you can still buy it by the bottle.

Cold Duck here in the US is made by Gallo under the Andre champagne label, you can usually find it in your local grocery or liquor store. It is not at all like the wine you bought in Germany so you will be disappointed. Cold Duck comes from the German "Kalde Endre" or the end of the evening when the remaining drinks would be poured into one bowl or pitcher and then shared amongst the guests.

I remember seeing Cold Duck in liquor stores. I think I have had it years ago. It used to be popular. Try liquor stores that sell wines, some have better wine sections than others.

please don't waste good wine with your technique. The reason to drink wine at cellar temperature (cool like 68° not room temp) is that many of the nice scents and flavors in wine are volatiles - meaning that heat releases them out of the wine. When you overchill red wine you mask those flavors and are left with the bitter flavors. Adding ice dilutes the flavors of the wine also. Of course if the "red" wine you are talking about is Boone's Farm Strawberry then none of this applies.

Isn't Cold Duck about the cheapest you can buy? Most liquor stores should have it. If they don't have any pride. haha
