Does anyone have any tips to help me to stop eating ice? I know it is not good for me in so many ways. Bad for my teeth, bad for my blood. I am anemic so I am well aware and I will be in braces by next year. I need serious help.

TRY TO SUCK THE ICE. Actually its not bad 4 you. YOU ALSO need other elements in your diet but water is good. AND my gf lost weight eatting ice(sucking 0n ice). IT takes calories to heat the ice up and there 4 she lost weight over 18 months(75 pounds).IT may help you maintain your weight. BTW i love ice too but i suck the ice.

I think you're a little confused. Eating ice is a SIGN that you are anemic. It does not CAUSE anemia, and is not bad for your blood. It may hurt your teeth. Once your anemia is brought under control, you will probably stop craving ice, and it won't occur to you to eat it any more.

Add a strong dose of salt to the Water you keep for freezing.High Salt Ice produces a revolt and induces Vomitting. Possibly that should do the trick.

It's because of your anemia you want to eat ice. I ate it for two years and was put on iron. My ice craving went away like magic!! Take iron and see if it doesn't help. good luck!

This sounds like a habbit, albeit a devistating one for your circumstances. If you quit cold turkey (or frozen turkey in your case) you will have the best luck. If you cease this behavoiur for 21 days, and sudstitute a different behaviour, you will have kicked the habbit!!

Have a great day, and good luck!!!

Just stop, when you get your braces, you won't eat it anymore, because it you do, you will pop off some brackets and have to pay to replace them at one point, so it's either stop now, or pay alot later.

Try chewing gum when you get the urge to chew on an ice cube and say an affirmation each time you do so.
