Hot Oil treatments.

You can try using hot oil treatments, very thick conditioners such as Pantene Pro V, Herbal Essences, Tresemme, etc. Some people may give themselves moisture treatments with mayonaisse, mineral oil, etc. by applying it to their hair and scalp and wrapping their head in saran wrap for a half and hour or so before rinsing it out. Hair is technically dead except for at the root, so if those things don't work, you may have to cut it and start over.

Dear erica 1,

I know this will sound kind of gross but wash your hair in egg yolks. You'll need to break 3 eggs (you might need more eggs depending on your hair length), and separate the white fom the yolks. Beat the yolks to same consistency. Rinse your hair with warm water and then massage in the egg yolks--you may need a little more water. Work the egg yolks into your hair for about 10 minutes. Then rinse the eggs yolks out of your hair and shampoo gently with your regular shampoo. Your hair will be noticeably fuller and healthier. Repeat every other week.

Try some of these awesome hair packs you can make yourself at home.

Whisk 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of veggie oil, and massage it into your hair. Pop on a shower cap, and use a hot towel or a steam room to have the moisture best absorbed. Another tip for shinier and less dull hair, is to mix one/two avocadoes and two tablespoons of veggie oil and follow suit...

Other recipes are:
-strawberries/whipped cream
-eggs, honey, veggie oil
- mayonnaise

Try Neutrogena's Triple Moisture Hair Mask, and their cream conditioner... Just pop on a shower cap and head to the steamer, or sit out in the sun.... You can do weekly conditioning treatments with regular conditioner to dry hair.

There are many products that you can use… try using a good conditioner and leave it in for about 5 minutes then rinse it out… or you can also try a leave in conditioner. There also a great product from Nexus call “emergencee” it restores natural oils and makes your hair strong, shiny, and soft… try not to wash it so often cause that strips your hair of its natural oils, also try blow drying it with a diffuser it less harsher (heat)…GOOD LUCK!

Hot olive oil. Make sure you don't get the hot oil on your scalp(just the hair needs it). Leave it in your hair for a couple of hours with a shower cap, then wash as normal.

I had this problem and my hairdresser told me the best thing to do is start using a salon quality shampoo and especially conditioner, like Frederick Fekkai or Aveda. You can get these at Sephora or some are even sold in the drugstores.

They say a drop or two of olive oil in your conditioner is good for dry hair

Pantene is awesome. I also like Infusium 23. You can get both at Walmart. Also, don't blow-dry your hair completely. Leave it damp at the ends and let it air dry.
