It's Mona Lisa and i think it's cuz it's an old painting by Leonardo Da Vinci! It also looks like everywhere you go she seems to be staring at you with a smile. I heard she had a mustache too and that she was a lesbian or something. Or she was Leo's luver. Not sure. Check and find out lazy!

Do you mean Mona Lisa? She is the girl with the mystic smile. Many people feel that she is a self portrate of the artist as a woman. I feel she is a patron who couldn't finish paying for the portrate, and that's why it's not in private hands.

b/c religious paintings dominated( though portraits were sometimes done for the very wealthy)... and she's a bit different....her slight up turned mouth( a devilish smile perhaps).....and the mystery of who she was and what was her relationship to LD.

that's coz there is something very special about that portrait........ n that is- Leonardo De Vinci has painted it in such a way that he has'ntpainted any eyebrows on her face....But, coz he was such a great painter....that the way he has painted the light and shadow, that it looks like she has eyebrows.!!!!............So that's y.................N don't know y no1 mentioned that......+ she got a beautiful smile tooo.

Because she is smiling. When he painted the portrait, they didn't paint them with smiles or facial expressions, or whatever.
