Champagne !! is great & i can honestly say that even after 5 bottles between me & my wife to be we,ve never woken with an hangover.
Plus & wine beer etc dehydrates you, you should drink @ least a pint of water before you go to bed & also take 1 with you!!
Trust me in a professional!
If you suffer with acid you should try Baileys over ice, very soothing to drink.
But if you wana try a beer & dont want the acid try any of the cream flows or smooth pour bitters or even a guiness

Cut back on how much you drink and drink beer. I have been drinking it since I learned how to get the top off. That was many years ago, we still needed a church key when I started. Over the years I have tried them all and seem to keep coming back to beer. A good scotch or Boubon neat or on the rocks is okay too. The fizzy stuff gives you a hangover when you mix it with whiskey. I start drinking beer after breakfast and quit before supper. So I drink beer most of the day and either work in the yard or go fishing and I don't have hangovers. By the way I am in my 60's and retired, but not from beer drinking.

There is a lot of controversy over wine because of the sulfides that are added here in the states. Some people claim that this is what gives them the hangovers. Sulfides are normally only added to red wines, so if you are a red wine dirnker, try switching to a full bodied white, like a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, which you can find anywhere. It sounds, though, like your problem is the amount you are consuming. Cut back on your consumption, maybe drinking a glass of water between each glass of wine. Try drinking vodka and cranberry juice and see how that works for you. I would recommend it in a tall glass, just so your consumption remains lower. Anything will give you a hangover if you drink too much of it. Watch your intake, and your outcome should improve.

If you are drinking red wine, then it is more common for certain people to react with the chemistry of red wine, which can result in them feeling terrible the next day.
The other cause for your hangover may be volume..if you drink enough of any wine or spirit you are going to feel rough.
Try doing what the French do when they give wine to their teenagers at meal times, and water the wine down. That way you can still enjoy the wine flavour, but without so much of a reaction.

Sulfites do not cause hangovers or headaches. Besides Sulfites exist in all wines. Some wines are made with no sulfites added, but it is still a naturally occurring component in wine both red, white and sparkling.
This is one of the largest myths with wine. Your hangover/headache may be caused by two things.
First you can become dehydrated - so drink a glass of water for every glass of wine, beer or any alcohol for that matter.
Second, it is the histamines in wine that may cause you to have an allergic reaction which can cause a multitude of different reactions including headaches, a hot flash type reaction, redness in face and neck, slight rash or reddening of the face and neck.
Consult with your doctor about taking a non-drowsy anti-histamines to help prevent the headaches.

u can have cocktails with malibu, peach schnapps etc with fruit juice in it. the fruit juice will negate acidity and also hydrate ur body enough to reduce the hangover, also make sure u down 1-2 glasses of water for every drink that u have. this will make sure that u dont get an hangover.
other cokctail suggestions would be margeritas, bloody mary. just make sure that u chose cocktails which contain fresh fruit juice instead of artificial juice or flavorings which might only serve to increase acidity.
or u could also opt for a liquers like baileys or kalhua if u like.
all the best!

There is a hangover prevention tablet you can buy called Chaser Plus. It prevents the hangover from happening and if you forget to take it before hand it works afterwards to. I had a customer at a store I worked at swear by it. CVS, Rite Aid among other places carry it. No need not to drink what you like when you take it. Good luck.

Make sure its all top shelf liquor you drink. If you don't you will most likely feel it the next day. Try Kendell Jackson or other Top shelf wines in place of what you are already having.. being more expensive isnt just for taste. My personal favorite cocktail is a Disarono Sour Sunrise.
