Why do men Cheat?

Question

They will have the best wife at home and a happy family, but they still do cheat. Why is that?

I know women cheat too.. But they don't add up to the way men do!! It's like a religion for men. Out of 100 men, 99 would be cheating whislt out of 100 women, 50 are on the wanted list.. I want a honest man to tellme why they cheat!

You can't say they are not happy that's why they cheat... They can be happy, but they still do cheat. If you love a woman and she is comfortable with you, she would never cheat! But even if you take your eyes out for a man, they still cheat!!

Men's brains are different from women's brains. We are wired different making it impossible for us to fully understand each other's motives. Cheating on a wife (and, god forbit the children) is a deal breaker as far as I am concerned because the behavior will not change. If you (sorry, I am only assuming that you are or have had this experience, I don't know) issue an ultimatum, you MUST follow through to have any tiny hope that he will make a life changing decision. Boys are brought up to brag and flaunt their masculinity - by media or by father/step - overwhelmingly and they feel they deserve this perk. Girls who begin sex early are at risk of engaging in same cheating behavior. It is a lack of maturity that allows the behavior to continue. Husbands who do this need to be sent away to their own isolation to see how much they can/have lose/lost.

People (BOTH men and women) cheat for a myriad of reasons. Its very hard to make a blanket generalized reason why someone cheats on their mate. Here's a short list of the possible reasons:

Personal insecurity (am I still attractive to the opposite sex?)
Boredom
Immature emotional development (kind of like a child who only sees his own wants/needs)
Revenge
Mid-life crisis
Thinks there's something better out there
Not ready to be monogamous/honest
or more probably...
People do what they feel they can get away with!

The possibilities of why one cheats are endless. In the end you have to look at your situation and try to get an honest answer from the person you're with.

Dr Phil has some good info on is site. In general men do because they can......because they are not getting it at home or because they have desires their wife won't fulfill. Women cheat because something is lacking in their lives, for me it was respect......I suddenly had that at work and I sure as hell didnt' have it at home. I didn't recognize that thats what it was until after seperated. Women have an emotional affair, for guys its generally just physical.

Let me ask you this.....if a guy is cheating and it doesn't really bother you.....would it bother him if you did too. Maybe for some people an open lifestyle works.......I wouldnt' buy into that crap but I know a lot of people that could.

There are a lot of debates surrounding this issue. There's more behind why men cheat. From a pyschological approach, there are theorios to where men are thought to be on earth to be a breeder and make babies (They attempt to create family so they can have a better chance of surviving) This goes all the way back in the cave men days. I don't have a lot of time to go in to details. My advice is to look at some theories that they have here on the internet.

just because she is the best wife on the outside does not mean she is the best wife inside the home , sometimes it's a role (for sympathetic reasons later on) but we cheat 4 the attention that we get women only notice us when we do wrong,lol u never say anything bout the bills always paid on time or the new car we bought u, plus not enough women make us feel sexy enough,lol we like 2 hear the copliments also. whats happy on the outside does not mean its good on the inside.

We as a race (Homo Sapiens) @ 50,000 and 200,000 years ago, experienced a population bottleneck of less than 100,000 individuals (probably far less). It's genetics that give us an unlimited amount of sperm and women are born with all the eggs they will need in a lifetime. Men propagate because it is our destiny. Women cheat because they are looking for the best genentic make up to ensure the offspring are going to survive.

A good man wouldn't unless he wasn't getting much or any at home. He would explain his feelings, if his wife didn't care, then its justified. Same for her. If one or the other is not satisfied, sometimes arrangements and aggreements can be made to accomodate. Very different from cheating I think. Cheating is when you DON'T say what is happening.

well most of men that cheat never felt like they could get attention from the "pretty girls" when they were younger and so they carried that feeling with them through there lives.

so when a opportunity comes by that makes them feel sexy strong and dangerous and that feels that void they snatch it up

it s sick to cheat and its wrong. it hurts not only your spouse but it also teaches the kids that love isn't important and you should be selfish

and for some kids it messes with there minds so bad that they are terrified to let some one love them. so they go all there life alone.

You're being sexist. Why do women cheat when they have a loving husband?? Everyone cheats not just men. This isn't the Lifetime Movie Network for crying out loud.
