Okay, I tried every possible combination of 1,6,4, ctr;, and alt that someone I trusted told me would work. It didn't. Either they were wrong (GASP!!! SHUDDER!!! NOOOO!!!) or yahoo answers is too decrepit to accept such advanced data entry.
