Yes i do believe that. i think it was Abe Lincoln who originally said the most men were about as happy as they made up their minds to be. And the Apostle Paul said he was able to be joyous whatever his circumstances.

America’s Next Top Pearly Whites – not.
I am a human being too. I’m not a freak. We are not freaks.
Not all of us have all the right balance of brain chemicals that are needed to achieve happiness naturally. I’m not claiming you have it easy. I’m just saying that most people are happy most of the time – and that is just a foggy dream to me.
Take note – when it comes to dealing with the human mind, you have to treat it with care and not a one-size-fits-all solution!
Many people claim that happiness is totally self-made; as if the mind has a switch that can turn it on and off at will! How shallow they are! Life is not a sterile lab. Any intelligent human being would know that we are always surrounded by outside circumstances as well as inner circumstances. Were we created with feelings and emotions just to learn from some galactic lab experiment – or were we made this way to make us mortal and real? And shame on you, those who flippantly quote the Bible or Buddha just to sanction your lack of human compassion!
I don’t mean you disrespect, dear questioner. Peace to you. But neither am I here to be America’s Next Top Best Friend.

Happiness is achievable goal. If you want to be happy you will find the way to be. Happiness in within us, it's not a place or a person is a state of mind which all of us should practice and achieve.
The purpose of our existence is to seek happiness is and in the book and I truly believe that this is the right way to go. If we are not happy our life looks like a disaster. We can find lots of way to live our day with a smile.

Yes I most certainly do. Every one in this life has their ups and downs and even though things might seem insurmountable at the moment, there is always someone out there who has it worse than you.
I take pride in the fact that I always laugh. I play in the rain with my grandchildren. I swing on the swings at the park with them. We go on picnics while everyone else is at work.
If you have the right mindset, you can always find something to be happy about. Life is an ever changing canvas and I love to wake each day to see just what it is going to bring me today. I know it will be great.

YES!!! Jack Nicholson said it best as The Devil himself in The Witches of Eastwick: "Well, we don't deal the deck down here, we just have to play with what we're dealt." Attitude makes ALL the difference. You can sit around and be bummed because you don't have the job you want making the kind of money you want, or you can be thankful that you have a job and are able to put a roof over your head and food on the table -- let's face it, a lot of people in the world can't. I think a lot of people in this world would be better off if they were happy with what they had instead of being so pi$$ed off because they're not rich and famous...

that would be to make the best of all situations, both good and bad. Faith in a positive outcome and patience for it to get better. Faith is a cornerstone that happiness is built upon. Faith in Jesus and trust in His word is the only way to true happiness!

Yes,
If we werent then most people would be distressed. If you choose to ignore bullying, you are choosing to ignore it therefore making you happy. But if you choose to hear it then that is therefore makign you sad.

Yes,
Happiness is a state of mind. You control it. Many Buddhist can be in a state of content even when their world is falling apart. If they can manage it anyone can for we are all can!
our reality is only what we make of it.
