where i work the other employees don't clean. they leave food sitting out all night and serve it the next day. they have clogged up drains that have filthy water sitting in them. i have reported things that need to be fixed and have not for months. i have told manager about these things but recieve no comment back. the employees are not properly trained and these are serious health dep't violations that they know about, and continue to do. should i call the health dep't? the things the health dep't will see are all behind the scenes though, and they will know i called.

I'm with the Chef. Employers don't like whistle-blowers, so be careful if you want the job. On the other hand, employees don't like, and shouldn't be at risk of, food poisoning etc.

Good luck.

If it is the business of selling food to the public then it needs to be reported. I suppose you will be labled a whistle blower but if it is in the best interest of the public something needs to be done.
