I don't know about melatonin, but Xanax works. My fiance had horrible panic attacks. He started taking Xanax and got them under control. You just have to find a method that works for you. And lower your stress level.

Wow. Actually it's more of a panic attack. I've had it before many of times. An anxiety attack is more of being short od breath, high blood pressure, and headache. Also can start freaking out by crying too. Which I've done many of times. It's mainly the cause of stress that does it. All you need is someone to talk to. You're not crazy it's just that you have a problem of being worryful maybe because you've probaly gone through so much in your life and you expect for something negative to happen Trust me I can see where you are coming from.

I have anxiety attacks too. Isn't it amazing how we can perceive a situation to be a negative one before we even experience it. I wonder if we as human just cant handle it after so many let downs. I tried the melatonin and it makes you sleep better but i also felt groggy after I woke up a few hours later.

You mean panic attacks....I had them for 12 years! I don't get them anymore but that's because I did a lot of work to get better.
I had to stop drinking alcohol altogether, I also had to give up caffeine and I now make sure I sleep well and eat healthily...Nothing else worked for me long term believe me..My psychologist helped me the most..
Nip it in the bud before it becomes crippling like it did for me....
I wish you all the best, you are not alone.
