I am preparing a short handout and was wondering what kind of information should go on it. i.e. ... I would like to list what readings we are going to have, but how do I do it, what do I title the section?

Not sure if I understand the question correctly. The section for Readings can be called "Readings" or "Scriptures" or "Texts" or "Bible Reading"..or First Reading, Second Reading, etc.

I am pasting some links below on sample orders of service that might help you...

You can see that there are many ways to do this. Feel free to email me if you need more help than this.

The word liturgy stems from the Greek word leitourgia, which means a public work or duty. In the Septuagint it simply refers to Temple ministry and services, but in the New Testament it acquired a broader meaning.

One sense in which it came to be used is, most strictly, the Eucharistic service - and this is still the meaning for Eastern Orthodox Christians. Another, broader sense for the word is any formal religious service, preferably in a Christian church.
