Definately not true i met a beautifull woman playing literati on yahoo and we continued playing and talking daily for about a year . We decided to meet and have been dating ever since , for about a year and a half now. You just need to take things slow and really get to know them because alot of people lie and play games online.

You have to be careful who you meet on the net, there are common sense safety rules like only meet them in a neutral public place where you can get away easily if they turn out to be a creep. That being said, yes it is possible to meet good people on the net. I know a happy couple that met on the net, they corresponded for a while, then met in a neutral place, talked, got to know each other, and ended up getting married--they are perfect for each other and they are very happy together. So it can happen, but it can't be stressed too much--be careful!

I know quite a few people that met their partners on the internet. All are now in serious relationships. You would be suprised at how many people do infact meet via the net. In this day and age, anything is possible!

No, not true at all. Both of my parents met and married someone from the net. I also met someone from the net. We talked over a year online then we met and we were together for over 6 months.

from personal experience, NO...I would say you may find a friend, but there are to many hidden secrets on the net. How do you know that the picture or name is really the person you are talking to? Taking this risk is not worth it. There are dating sites that are legit, I would research and go that route. And don't give your phone number on line, bad idea.

No it isn't always the case. I met my boyfriend online and we have known each other for almost 8 years and we have been together for 1 year now. You just have to know what you want and don't settle for less. And never meet with anyone from the internet alone, always use a public place or take some friends with you.

Its possible. My sister met her husband off the internet, they talked on the internet for a month then started meeting and they are now happily married. But he only lived 1hr 15mins away.

I met a really nice guy on the computer. He lives a little under 3hrs away.

I think if you are willing to drive and spend time with them ect.. That it can work out.
