I would be happy that she would be giving her life to Jesus! What a wonderful vocation. I think that there are fewer Sisters than there were years ago because people have become so "me" oriented. The commitment to love and serve the Lord, through service to others is fading fast.

I'm not sure what a nunnery is....I don't think its a real word. But if she is interested in becoming a "religious" and joing a religious order, she would live in a convent or monastery and I would tell her to follow her calling.....somehow I don't think you are serious, though

Depends on how old she is, but if she were old enough and that's what she wanted, then I would say, "If that's what you want in life, and if that's what will make you happy". I would make sure that she has thought about and knows what its all about, but I don't think I would stand in her way. That would be her choice. Good question, take care!

If my daughter were called to devote her life to serving God as a religious Sister, I would be extremely proud and thankful.

I would try to tell her that she can still serve God as a married woman with children. If she insists though, I'll have to accept and wish her luck.

I know a person who did!
this was before hormones...
once they kicked in.....the walls couldn't hold her in and she became a Broadway dancer and very happy and sexually active young adult (18 -35)
it made it more sweeter and intense (those lucky guys)

if she was old enough to make this decision would feel this was her choice and destiny. each of us has an agenda to perform while on this plane of existence and if this destiny is my little girls so be it as our love would continue.

your life, your choice, i will support you, but remember that i do not believe the same thing as you do, and expect you not to try and convert me to your way of thinking, just as I have never tried to convert you to my way of thinking. that doesn;t mean we can't have amicable respectful discussions about our beliefs however.
