Yes, you can get an ancestral visa if one of you're parents or grandparents where originally born in Britain.
Just go to you're nearest British embassy and put the claim through.
Check what they require though, you might have to give up you're US citizenship.

You'd have to ask the UK, I'm sure there's some sort of provision where if you were a resident there for a certain period of time you could register for citizenship, depending on the UK's policies this might be instantly, it might be shorter than most people need to or it might not be different from any other citizenship waiting period.

What you could do is perform some extraordinary task for the service of the whole kingdom and get them to give you dual citizenship so that you can be given honours, then you'll have honours and citizenship!
