A female chaperone (although not a medic) was standing by for the exam. They were upset when they discovered she was not the doctor, and refused treatment for the lady. This is insane. Modesty before health? Inasnity before all?

Yeah, that's kind of messed up. It's confusing though because some (not all) Muslim women are denied education so how can they become the doctors for these men to take their wives, sisters, daughters to? Most of the men who believe this way will only do business with men so how would a female doctor even begin to practice. Sounds like a lose/lose situation for the women to me and that is truly sad.
