The maternal instinct is women's strongest, I think, stronger than the sex drive! Many youngsters are having babies now w/o a father in the picture; which to me is a mistake! Raising kids takes more than 1!

I think it's a way for them to get the attention that they seek! I think if more parents were spending the time they should wtih their children and showing them love there would be alot less of this! Instead they let them have their own way because it's easier than dealing with them being angry for awhile! Not to mention the way people let their kids run around half dressed! It's no wonder they are so emotionally messed up! i think back to when I was in high school and got pregnant with my daughter! My parents loved me dont' get me wrong! But if I would have had more emotional support and a stronger relationship things might have been differant! Don't take that wrong either! I wouldn't trade having my daughter for anything in this world! She is now 12 years old and is beautiful, smart and my most precious gift! I was willing to make the sacrafices needed to raise her whole heartedly! Her father was a differant story! that's what these young girls don't understand! it's not a game, it's another human life who doesn't ask to be brought into this world so they can play house! Raising a baby is hard work! I pray for all these girls and their babies!

i think that there may be some girls who think having a baby, may be cool, until they actually have them, because with the baby comes a life long commitment and responsibilities, i was 15 years old when i had my first baby, i dont think i thought it was cool, it just happenend, i coulndt be a teenager any more i had to start thinking and acting like a mother ots not an easy, job, for all young ladies and gentlemen theirs alot of time to start a family when the time is right, enjoy your childhood now, youll have enough time to enjoy and experience adult hood when your at that point in time take it from, someone who has been there.

They tennd to think that it is cool because they are following "trends" They usually have low self-esteem and gain a need for unconditional love. At this age, young girls often find themselves feeling alone. Even though they may have parents that care, in the eyes of a young girl, she only has herself. She feels as if no one could know how she feels when actually she's wrong. I'm devoting my life to fighting against child-abuse and abortion. Therefore, from my experience this is where the problem lies, young girls searching for love.

Everyone's in such a hurry to grow up these days. I say keep a dime between your knees until you get married. It's not cool to have a baby in your 20's if you're not ready for it financially, mentally, or emotionally. It's soooooooo much responsibility and these young girls are just reaching out for someone to love them and want someone to take care of on their own....little do they know, they're gonna be responsible for that little guy or gal for the next 18 years (at least)!

They think that untill after they are pregnat. Then the dont know if they can handle it so some decide to kill the baby. Thats the sad thing in this world when a parent takes out there own kid.

I know. My sis just had a baby at 17. Everyone is so happy for her. I am too, but she doesn't seem like she's old enough mentally. I wish kids would slow down a bit.

Yes, some of them might think that when really it's not.

in my eyes they are babies having babies & they are looking to their states so they can be welfare mothers so they don't have to go to work to support themselves & babies.
