Why is it that because a few ignorant people who don't believe in God make a big fuss that now we, the majority, who DO believe in God, and WANT our children to learn about Him and have faith in Him, have to just watch as his word is taken out of our schools, off of television, off the radio, and just about out of everywhere else??It makes me sick that our country has come to this!! What happened to the majority rules??

Majority Rules is fast becoming lost in this country. Time-honored values are being trashed to the wayside while out-of-control wackos take over our our children and our system.

I personally think that the Public Schools should be directly taken over by the parents. Whoever doesn't measure up to their standards should be completely and permanently fired.

Ever hear of the Constitution? So that nobody has a religion forced upon them, the government is forbidden to advance a religious view. People have rights, and among these rights, is the freedom to practice a religion or not practice a religion. To practice a religion does not include using the government to teach that religion. And since when has religion been taken off television and radio? There are a gazillion radio stations, tv programs, books, newspapers, music cd's, even theme parks, with a religious message...

You want your children to believe in god and so on, who's stopping you? You have churches, sunday schools, and of course your own home and your own example.

What you really want, under these excuses, is to force your views on others.

Actually, there is no such thing, at least legally. Majority rule, or mob rule, is a bad idea. It can put minorities at severe risk. My favorite definition of democracy goes something like this: Two men and a woman are shipwrecked on an island. The men vote to rape the woman. The woman votes against. So now, does Majority rules still sound good?

Because the "majority" of people don't believe in the SAME God...Why should my children be forced to learn your beliefs instead of your children learning mine (and btw Paganism has been around a lot longer than Christianity and there are more people who believe in Buddha than God)...so what "majority" are you talking about. FREEDOM of Religion is a constitutional Right and should remain so!

First of all I do not think you are in a position to call others ignorant.
Christians have their own television networks and on many of our local stations every Sunday morning church services are broadcast. Christians have their own radio stations.
Religion should be taught in homes, churches and temples. It is the responsibility of parents and clergy. Not our public educators.

Our country is not "majority rules" otherwise Bush would not be in office. Remember, Gore had more populare vote. My suggestion to you is:
1. Deal with it and shut up.
2. Put your kids in private school if you want them brainwashed so badly.
3. Move to Mexico. I would say Canada, but they keep God out of their schools to. That pretty much leaves you Mexico. Hope you speak Spanish.

Proof and evidence are not the same. Evidence is belief, proof needs no evidence. "Why I love believers"; amazing someone who feels inside what they have not seen nor heard on the outside. John 5:37. As far as "the burden of proof"; Jeremiah 23:32-40. Evidence can be given

Logistics means it's not possible to fit all religions into the school day...keep religion in your homes and places of worship. Religious indoctrination has no place in education.

So I take it you're Catholic? Catholicism being the largest religion in the world with over a billion followers, but you knew that.

It's a stupid premise. Remember that old fable about jumping off a cliff just because everyone else does?

Anyway, put your kids in christian schools if you wish to indoctrinate them.
