when this happened at my children’s school we contacted the police and the local and district council and told them our worries and fears we had a policeman once a week issuing parking tickets and we also had children with banners approach the people who badly parked and ask them why they wanted to endanger their life’s which really embarrassed them and finally we had a shame list in the school foyer now everyone parks nice .it was a shame we had to go to these measures but some people need educating

I would name and shame the parents who park there either in the school newsletter if they do one or put a big notice outside of the school naming the parents for everyone to see and explaining exactly what the lines are there for and why they musn't park on them.
Hopefully they will be embarrased enough not to do it again.
There has to be some prior warning to the parents who illegally park there that you are going to name and shame them the next time anyone parks where they shouldn't or there could be a bit of nasty comeback on it!!

Put 3 concrete blocks in the path of the zig zag lines, no one wants their car to get scratched or dented.

get young kids to cause damage to them (accidently of course) and car owner would have to take resposibility for damage as young children are below the age of resposibilty in law. (if your child 'attacks' a car parked on the zig zags with thier scooter then its tough for the car owner).
p.s. does anyone know of a childs toy that can puncture tyres (not covered by insurance)

A sniper on the roof, only joking.
Seriously though, the only safe thing you can do is inform the Police and make a note of the registrations of persistent offenders. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but they shouldn't park there in the first place!

Tow their asses. Do that for a week and people won't park there anymore. Also, you could just put up parking cones. If people will move that, Just have the school install one of those cement posts so it's not possible to fit a car in space left there.

Record the registration numbers, make and type of vehicle of the guilty parties and report same to local Police. Might also ask Traffic Inspector to visit and observe the problem so that the Police themselves can issue warnings or penalty notices.

Obviously it is to tell the local police station, they can then send police or traffic wardens down to sort it out. If they claim it is decriminilised then get in touch with ur local authorities parking services department.
Keep track of all communication cos if they are as good as my local police and council then you'll end up going to the press and/ or your MP.
best of luck.

1.Print leaflets and place them on the windscreens asking them to park elsewhere
2.Publish the car registration numbers in the local newspaper in the personal column
3.Start a blog. Take photos of the offending vehicles, publish the photos on the blog. In the leaflets invite people to visit the blog.
