depends how much you want to spend! Under a tenner = a CD, maybe Girls Aloud, £20-£30 a nice long sleeved top from Ripcurl or River islan, expensive = a hand held games console. happy hunting!

A gift certificate for Circuit City or Best Buy so they can buy any CD, DVD, PlayStation Game they want. That is what I do for all my nieces and nephews that are over 13. They love it and it is easy on you.

Most 16 year olds I know would prefer money so they can spend it on what they really want.

it depends who you are to him.... if you are a friend then you should buy him some clothing or a cd.
if you are his sibling......then something more thoughtful, like his favourite football team tickets, or finding out his fav hobbie and arranging it as a day out for the family and a few of his friends.
if you are his parents......then something that he is going to love, even tho he would love he moped idea it is very dangerous, if he is snsible then you could do that, if you dont want to give him that responsibilty (which is understandable) then maybe a suprise party or a season ticket to his fav team.
maybe giving him a weekend away?
remember it is a big birthday for him and i bet he cant wait.

Money. 16 is tricky and unless he has a strong interest in anything i.e. football, lord of the rings, etc. money is probably the best option.

How about a Savings Bond, so it will mature in a few years like he will. And After it matures, he is a little something extra for college, he will love it in the long run. I did.
