Who would you prefer to spend eternity with?
People that obey you blindly and praise you incessantly, or free thinkers that could offer you some kind of variety? I would imagine that praise gets old after a while.

Char, call me crazy, but my question doesn't say anything about Christianity specifically. That's one fantastic assumption you've made there.

Oh, that's just because you haven't experienced the praise of heaven. There are creatures who've been singing the same song since their creation, "Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty which was and is and is to come." (This is found in the book of Revelation, chapter 4, verse 8).

They've never stopped to say, "You know, God. We've been singing this one song for a really long time now. We'd like a new, gig, ya know?"

No, they can't help it! They bow down - because they are inspired to do so - they lift up their face and behold God, and "Holy, Holy, Holy," just comes out before they even know what's happening. They can't help it. They can't contain it. I have experienced enough of God to realize that to experience His presence in a new way just inspires praise that cannot be contained. It's not mechanical. And God's not some egomaniac that demands this. It's just what happens when one truly beholds God. He's awe-inspiring.

One does not supercede the other. You can give praise to God and still be intelligent enough to offer him some suggestions on how things could have gone differently. I doubt he would smite you for asking for answers to your questions conserning life the universe and everything. If that is not free thinking then I guess I am a mindless zealot like the rest.....BOO HOOO....

By definition God is all knowing. I can never ever imagine in that place. I would however prefer free thinkers to camp followers.

God don't need us to enjoy eternity with. He created us we are his creation. Why do people believe that Christians are not free thinkers? It is careful evidence and scientific research that has led me to the belief in God. Have you even read the prophecies in the Bible that have been fulfilled, for example Daniel 2 and 7? Read the Bible before you criticize God or his word the Bible. We praise God not because we are blind but because we love him and he wants to save us from Satan. It pains me to see how people are blinded by Satan, he wants to kill and destroy you don't you understand that. I have experiences I could share with you, i have friends who commit suicide, i have a friend who killed his mother and brothers because of devil worship and witchcraft. I implore you to accept Jesus he wants to save you from the devil!

God is eternally emanating from Himself innumerable living entities for the sake of enjoying loving relationships with them. Every living being has the choice to love God or to leave Him. Most of living beings have chosen to love God and serve Him eternally in the spiritual kingdom where He enjoys His pastimes with such pure souls. Their love for Him is completely volunteer. They offer to Him unlimited variety and pleasure, and this pleasure simply goes on increasing.
However, there are some foolish living beings who are envious of God and therefore they have chosen to leave Him and come to this material world to try to enjoy separately from Him. Guess who are those living beings? That's us, you and me and others around.
The problem is we cannot really become completely, eternally happy and satisfied until we come back to our original position of choosing to love God and serve Him again. If we make that intelligent decision that now I want to serve God again and love Him again - voluntarily! - then God will guide us how to purify our consciousness so that we can re-enter His eternal kingdom. But if we do not want it, we can remain here and always suffer from birth, death, old age and disease, trying to lord it over material nature.
What is your choice?

Free thinkers. After all God gave us free will and a mind so don't you think that he wanted us to learn and grow. Lucifer looks for the blind follower they are easier to fool. Its a great man who can think and ask questions in humbleness and faith without letting Pride and Egotism draw him away from the maker.(Those are my words so don't bother looking them up).

If you are a free thinker... only then can you be one with God..... one has to rise above religion .... to have a relationship with God....... if .people blindly follow something.......then God is just a concept in their mind. Being religious is one thing........ not every religious person talks to God...... but ..a person who has an open mind.... (he could be religious, spiritual, scientific) can talk to God

I certainly wouldn't invite any Christians. Some of them are all right for a while, but would you really want to spend an eternity with them?

I prefer to spend eternity with Nature

ashes to ashes, dust to dust

all we are, is blowin in the wind, the answer my friend is blowin in the wind... (add water)

I prefer this moment, that's all I can guarantee

the rest is hope and commentary and attempts to manipulate us
