Why do groups use their "Holy Books" to gloryify themselves rather than the messages. All three religions worship one God and revere most of the same holy people. Jews and Muslims accuse Christians of worshipping three gods when in fact the Trinity is an explanation that divinity exists in 3 dimensions (creator, creation, bond between one and two). That's a simple explanation. Why do Christians and Jews deny Muslims their right to hold Muhammad as their prophet? Why Christians and Muslims denounce Jews for not accepting Jesus as their Messiah? Why do religious people deny Athiest their perspective on life? We can all comprimise and agree that we all believe somewhat differently. Why can't this be accepted?

Religions are used to maintain control over the populace. That is why they change the interpretation to suit their needs. Each group says whatever they need to in order to get their followers to do what they want and to keep themselves in charge. They dislike the atheists because they can't use the fear of god to control them. It's all about CONTROL.

Good question. Could be because people like to take pieces of the bible and interpret (twist) it into meaning whatever is the best for them at the time. And the Muslim holy book is hundreds of years older than the bible....and the bible never mentions Mohammad. If you can tell me where he is mentioned I will give up that point. And the Jews have to rely on their laws as transcribed through the Old Testament because they do not believe Jesus is the Messiah because they did not fully understand the prophesies that foretold of his coming correctly.
Now, me, myself, I say believe what you will but do not try to shove your faith or lack thereof down someone else's throat. If we could do that, then we might stand a chance of getting along.

people want to believe that only their religion is the right one. all holy books can be interpreted in a million different ways...it is all on how each person reads the text. they take it how they need to or what feels right inside of their heart or soul. If we could all just accept the fact we are all people of a higher being no matter what we call the higher being and just when we disagree ....let it be it is OK to agree to disagree.

It can only work under secular government where no one religion is allowed to be the official dominant religion and where religion is kept separated from policy making,

As long as religions are trying to build theocracies and politicking to be the dominant religion and have their religious views enshrined and forced on everyone else through legislation... it won't happen.

It is proven that people who fall for religion are usually from the lower social orders and quite thick too. They are looking for reasons outside themselves as to why their life sucks

Don't think you actually know what you are talking about. Never met a Jew who felt anyone had to believe the way he did.

It's hard not to, because they're so poorly written.

You'd think an infinitely intelligent and wise being wouldn't publish a book that has such a slapped-together feel to it....

There is only one God.
I am not the judge of who is right and who is wrong.
