While every christian in the US might not feel the same about every issue, there is a large block of them who vote a certain way b/c of certain issues, i.e. gay marriage, abortion, etc. These are the people I was referring to and you can't deny that they wield immense political power in the US....

Same way that white, Prodestant males can cry about being oppressed. They are loosing the privaleges they once had. They feel that they still deserve them, or at least don't deserve to loose them. So they ***** about how others are suddenly getting "more" than them.

You question indicates that you don't know a lot about Christians. We are not a oppressed, but have views about how the country should be run and the laws it should have, just like other people. So of course we lobby. We are not whining -- we are trying to make changes.

Everyone likes to complain of being oppressed. And if you think about it, would it not be a form of oppression to deny Christians the right to do so? You're playing right into their hands. Just ignore them when they complain. They're feeding off your attention.

Being a martyr for god is real popular, even if it's imaginary. Makes them feel really christ-like. Rather like a spoiled child that doesn't get enough attention or get his way all the time.

we as a society are mostly negative. we would rather complain about how bad we have it rather than looking to the positive of what we do have. Christians are no different, a product of their culture and up bringing, just with a common cause in Christ.

They just wish they were, because they revere martyrs. And then everyone would feel sorry for them. It gives them a sense of purpose.

They love to whine and pretend to be martyrs....it's the middle eastern roots of Christianity that's to blame for the love of martyrdom I think!

They whine because they haven't achieved total domination of the planet yet so feel they are being persecuted because of it.
