tell her she isn't allowed to stay out all night for any reason. when she does anyway then report her as a runaway and tell her what u are going to do the next time she does it. teens will always find a way to get around u but u have to let her know there are real consequences for the things she does. if that doesn't work then file a fends petition with the court. that will make home look pretty good.

I have six daughters (aka-weapon of mass destruction). The youngest is now 27. When they became teenagers I was the stupidist thing on two legs. When each of them hit the age of twenty five they expressed amazement at how much more intelligent I became as they got older. All I can tell you is to keep loving them and "this also shall pass". The best part is that they too will someday be a parent and you can spoil grandchildren and send them home to make her life a living hell. Revenge is sweet.

Not unless you want her to come home pregnant. Try installing two sided key locks on all the outside doors and some window locks- or better yet screw them shut. Heck, I would make her sleep with me every night if I had to. You need to get some control over that child before she gets into trouble. There is nothing she needs to be doing in the middle of the night at her age. You have a fight on your hands. Stand up to her and show her who's boss. It sounds like you have tried nice, now you better try tough.

Get a new counselor, for one thing, one who will stear you toward parenting classes, which will teach you how to deal with these kinds of issues while still letting you daughter know you love her. There is obviously a breakdown in communication between you. I wouldn't change the locks though. You might want to get her drug tested and perhaps if necessary put her in some sort of rehab because, not saying this is the case for you, but often when kids behave this way, they are into drugs and/or alcohol.

unless you want to be her excuse for anything she can pin on you find alternatives.Even at 16 we have some power, try taking something she values when she does not listen(money, car etc.)Be sure to follow through and try not to react to strong, she is trying her wings.Buckle up, don't take it too personally and get ready for the ride! When my daughter tried this I gave her the boot right into the arms of an undesirable fully grown man. Stay cool, she will grow up.If there are more serious concerns, substance etc. seek professional help...for you if not her. Been there ,done that, Got the scars to prove it! GOOD LUCK

She could also get hurt while she is out there cold and hungry.
Tell her that the next time she leaves the house you will report her as a runaway. If she doesn't come home on time each time subsequent to that you will report her as a runaway.
If the court sees that she is a habitual runaway she will be arrested and finding herself living with the state.
