Clothes is a major one - Americans prefer jeans while the Brits don't - usually they would prefer khakis/ casual trousers over jeans.

I also found that people in the UK love to unwind in a pub - almost at any time of the day! Amercians have more conservative views, perhaps, when it comes to drinking alcohol.

I also found there are great many 'readers' in the UK than in the US - almost everybody in the tube would be reading something - newspaper, novels, magazines - in the US they prefer their iPods/ mp3 players.

The Main difference between the So-Called Indigenous Brit and the Colonial North American is 'Lifestyle'

The Brit is a Waring-Nation and has limited Sunlight(Except for this Summer,but that's just Global warming-NOT NORMAL)Therefore:
Drinks too Much
Works too Much
Gets paid Less
Pays MORE for LESS
Gets TAXED More
Is part of The EU
Has The worst Customer Services on the Planet!
English is NOT the First Spoken language anymore
And has Teenagers that hang-out on Street Corners terrorizing the Neighborhood.
Have NO Death Penalty.
Have a law & order System in melt-down
Nobody Respects Law Enforcement
And when it's Cold it's Cold!

It is a Beautiful Land Though with The Best Special Forces on the Planet!

The Colonists who inhabit North America Have:
Choice!(For Everything)
Great Employment Opportuniities!
No-Nonsense Law Enforcement!
Better Services and Ammenitiess for ALL!
Fantastic Customer Sevices!
More Holidays

US=
more propaganda
a bit less income tax
more insular, and think the USA is the only place that matters
more loud mouthed and big headed people
more materialism
more overt greed
No inclusive health servive, private care for those that can afford it
Bigger differences between the 'have's' and 'have-nots'
More Christian fundamentalists & conversative groups with a political voice
Private gun ownership allow armed self defence by the weak, especially liberal in places like Texas. You would get locked up in jail for defending yourself using armed means in the UK.

UK=
more surveilance cameras per person in the UK than any other country
more reserved people in general
recently, more & more like a police state
no constitution, hence people have no formal and invariable rights
longer vacation (legal min. of 20 days per year, but usual is 25 days)
more expensive cars
massively more expensive gasoline due to extreme taxation (around $8 per gallon)
More or less inclusive health service paid by taxes
Bigger and more intrusive government per capita
Unelected judiciary and local police
Growing inner city crime
Gun use on the increase by criminals, no private hand gun ownership allowing criminals to have a free rein
Tiny and overpopulated country, overrun by scroungers, politically correct groups, economic immigrants
Extremely expensive like-for-like 'house' prices in comparison to USA

However both have got terrible leaders and governments.

Sorry, but as you can see...this is the type of question that attracts only loud-mouths with a personal axe to grind, and you wont get a sensible or considered answer.

The only way to answer this is to spend a few years living in both places and then make up your own mind.
