i have seizures myself. i dont have them in the tub,i take showers ,but if a person has a sudden chanfe in temp or gets scared too quickly like all of a sudden it can trigger a seizure. maybe try going to a friends house who has a garden tub or put a bathing suit on and take a shower with him, he might be chlosterphobic,,scared of confined or closed spaces. check his medications some that work pretty good are --dilantin-felbatol-neurontin and phenabarbitol. all of these are seizure medications and can be combined if prescribed by a physician at the correct dosages. if they have to tell them to get a small blow up pool that will fir in the bathroom and bath him in that seeing how he likes the pool. then slowly move the pool to the tub and eventually stop using the pool but leave it not blown up but just laying in the tub where he can see it . this might make him feel more comfortable. i live in louisiana and the best doctors here are in shreveport,la and lafayette,la it is a little far for me, but after all the doctors i had seen and they told my parents nothing was wrong that i will grow out of it or that i was even faking it, my foster mom took me to a doctor in lafayette,la--dr,stephen j snatic - ispent the night in the hosp up there and he ran tests-no needles -dont hurt- he figured out it was a skip in the brain waves causing my seizures and could never go away we were so thankful after 4 yrs of trying to find out why he found out in one night

I can't diagnose anything because I'm not a doctor. But maybe your little cousin has Raynaud's syndrome along with, or as a part of his Autism. I am only basing this on the sensitivity of Autistic children, and the fact that my friend who has Raynaud's has seizures if she gets too cold in the bath.
First: It is VERY dangerous for anyone who has seizures to use a bath. They could drown. Showers are preferred. Also, showers provide constant heat over the body until the shower is over. Maybe you could give him a shower and have a heated towel and space heater area for him to dry in.
I have extreme cold intolerance, and after my shower, I immediately use a blow dryer and toweling to stay warm.
Below is a Reynaud's site.
Good luck to your little cousin and bless you for caring.

Maybe baths are warmer than the pools? I have never heard of such a thing, and that's really interesting. If doctor's can't figure it out, it's going to be a lot harder for someone without medical knowledge to come up with a good idea.

Then did you slip into newly-washed bedding? i like that feeling! the only element that can make your challenge extra ideal is to have various lit candles contained in the lavatory, and drink a tumbler of wine once you're soaking. I try this probable 3 or 4 circumstances a three hundred and sixty 5 days and that i like it!!

Have you tried showers, or bathing him with his under pants on?
I'd have to assume its something to do with the complete bare skin...
Or the excitement of it all. If he had a siezure once in the tub, he might be working himself up into a panic over the thought of it every time, resulting in a siezure again.
I really imagine its a psychological thing.
