how can you know weather oil is refined or unrefined. does it state on the bottle or can?

Cooking oil has been refined. Some olive oils are not.

Cloudiness is the best way to tell if an oil has not been refined. However, cloudy oils don't sell to well in the US, so most of it is filtered and refined.
