to be in love with someone who is torn regarding the relationship or is it just a desire to be in love? Could it really be that I do love her not just more than she loves me but also more than she loves herself? Is there any remedy to the situation other than walking away and hope she decides to follow?

wow..it seems you must really love her... But, it also seems she doesnt love you as much as you love her because you cant love another person without loving yourself... so I thik she should feel good about herself first..distance yourself a bit but always be there for her if she needs a shoulder to lean on but dont do all the loving by yourself..she should give equal back, and i nothing improves then theres nothing else but to walk away. It may seem harsh but its neccessary for her to build her character and this will add to a more fulfilling life for her... hope it turns out alright..
