I caught my ex of a few years cheating in the bed we had shared,it has been a horrible thing for me to deal with for the past year in a half. For the fact that he is best friends with my brother(thats how we met)they are still best friends. So I still see and hear about him.He still thinks there may be a chance of getting me back and gives every guy I try to date crap. There was this one guy who is friends with my brother and my ex that I saw out one night and he comforted me,listened and understood. He drove me home that night and I invited him to stay,I asked him to sleep in the bed with me,he did,I asked him to put his arm around me,he did till I slept. He was so respectful.I saw him once since then,he came to me and said"your killing me",my ex was there so we had to keep quiet. It has been 7 months since that night and I still think about him.a mutual friend told me he likes me but is freaked about my ex.I want to call him to see how he is but i am afraid of rejection.

Have your brother speak to your ex and tell him to back off. Let your brother know how bad he hurt him and have him explain you would kill yourself before ever getting back with him. Then go to the other guy and see if there is a chance of getting together with him. If the ex tries anything tell him if he does not leave you alone you will contact the police for him harassing you. Be firm or he will think you are playing hard to get.

It's like this,he already devastated you and now you are letting him control your life after all this time!As far as giving every guy you try to date crap, you let him have that control.Draw the line and back it up with action and then you won't have as many future problems.Your brother has a relationshi with him, seperate that from you, move on forcefully and decisively letting all involved know where you stand.

Ex-what? Husband, boyfriend, or what? No one has the right to act like he owns you without your permission. I advise you to claim your life back from him by telling him that if he continues to harass you and your dates that you will get a restraining order against him, and follow through. If he is not bothering you, but only men you date, you need to find a date who can take him out!

Pick up the g****m phone lady! (To paraphrase some film or other)

You should call him and see what he feels - You can work on the "ex" thing by doing lots of things not least of which is for him to stop being friends with the guy.

If you're meant to be together, I'm sure you can work something out - good luck!

Go to your ex, tell him you like this guy and intend to pursue it, that it's absolutely over between you too because he can't keep it in his pants, and to leave the guy the hell alone. If the guy really cares about you, he'll take the crap (as long as it's not violent) and deal with it to be with you I think.

It is better to have love and lost then to have not loved at all.

So in essence you have to put yourself out there. Just relax though. He will not reject you and will welcome the chance of being with you
