We got married on a very hot July day, but we made our way through it - it was wonderful! We had a traditional Ukrainian wedding. The ceremony was in Ukrainian, but the booklets had a translation in English so people could follow along. The ceremony was done by my husband's brother, who is a priest, along with two other priests who are our friends, so that was really special. We did the traditional crowning of the bride and groom with wreaths of myrtle, and also included a special blessing of the bride after the ceremony - I had to go kneel at the altar and the priest covered my head with a white cloth, said a special blessing, then "gave" me to my husband. It was awesome.
My colours were teal, lilac, pink, and yellow - the bridesmaids dresses had all those colours in a light floral print on white. They had flower wreaths on their heads, each done in one of the different colors - and correspondingly matched one of the four grooomsmen, who had cummerbunds in each of those colours.
My dress was a gorgeous fantasy dress - of heavy bridal satin (yes I sweated through that very hot day!), with lots of crystals, beads and iridescent sequins, and lace appliques. I wore a crystal tiara with veil.
We had the reception for about 190 at a ballroom. There was a buffet with baron of beef - and turkey, I think. Lots of other sides and yummies. The program and dance were fun. "Twas a wondrous day!

My husband and I were married at a local historical home in their front courtyard. We live in the middle of the forest so I felt like I was in a fairy tale spot. It was gorgeous. Our flower choices were Gerber daisies and roses with hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus mixed in. We then moved on to a local caterer's hall for the reception. It had the feeling of a country inn with a large fireplace and these fantastic wood floors. The food was wonderful and my husband is still raving about our wedding cake (I think ours was one of the few weddings where everyone ate the cake). Our guests had a fantastic time and the dance floor was full all night. Everyone had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed seeing all of our family and friends. We kept the wedding to under 100 guests which allowed us to say hello to everyone and spend time enjoying our wedding. It was a magical night.

We had the wedding at a church. I wore a strapless dress with rouching (gathering) around the waist. The dress and veil were embellished by crystals. The dress had a chapel train.
The flowers were blue hyacinth and green belles of Ireland. The colors to coincide with the flowers were dark blue and pale jade.
My bridesmaids (2 - 1 moh and 1 jr) chose their own dresses. My MOH wore blue and my bridesmaid wore green.
We had about 100 guests.
Food was simple because we didn't have much money. Just a cake and punch. The cake was strawberry with a cream filling and buttercream icing. It had little picks all over it like little fireworks coming out of the cake. (BTW that thing was a bytch to cut).

My husband & I met in a chat room called the fish tank. When we got married we decided to use that as the theme. We were married in semi formal wear aboard an 80 foot Shrimp Boat during the annual blessing of the fleet in Georgia. Everyone got to ride on the boat. At the reception we had little fish bowls on the tables with gold fish. I loved every moment of it.

My dress was all lace long sleeved in champagne with pearls and iridescent sequins all over it. My attendants has sweetheart necklines and tea length mauve satin dresses. My flower girl had a cream with mauve flowers calico dress with a mauve satin ribbon and lace collar. The guys were dressed in Seal gray tuxes with ascot ties. My flowers were white roses with dendrobium orchids and baby's breath, the girls had lavender roses and baby's breath in their flowers. My cake was all white (no color) with vanilla cream in the middle. We served fresh made lemon aide. (We just had a tea reception.) This was 20 years ago. I'm surprised I remember!

I couldn't concentrate on any of that stuff. I just kept wondering how I was going to get out of it.
