Personally I would rather have a fit regular guy. There is nothing wrong with the workout bodybuilder type...but for some reason most people have in their minds that the bodybuilder is arrogant and does not have time for anyone but himself.

Keep working out....stay fit...but don't obssess!!!

Regular guy, but it doesn't hurt to look at the bodybuilder type.

bodybuilder type.... or just work out?

there is a huge difference

a fit man is the best, he will have more stamina and is likely to be more active and fun

bodybuilders are in a very self centered place in their lives, and are concerned with only himself and his physical condition, he diets and trains and has a schedule for competitions... and little to no time for a relationship.. unless he is training you too

in that case I would take the regular Joe Blow

"Regular"

With all due respect (and, honestly, one must respect the work involved in being a bodybuilder), I, personally, tend to think that the person who spends too much time working on building his body isn't thinking about some of the more important issues in the world or else isn't working on building other parts of his life as much as maybe a well-rounded person should.

Regular guy. Most of the bodybuilders (no offense, I don't mean all) have large egos.

well different people have different types...

but for me, i would prefer the regular guy. not the bodybuilder type... but, you know, if you feel good when you workout and see its effects, then good for you.

Well, a lot of my women friends say that someone who is tall and looks very strong appeals to them, because he seems like the type who could "protect" them.

But there is so much interpersonal violence in some relationships that being around a big, strong guy worries me. --Especially since being big and strong is correlated with having lots of testosterone, and testosterone makes male animals feisty and mean. (Obviously, humans can overcome these tendencies if they WANT to, but lots of men LIKE to fight.)

So, in my own case, I actually prefer guys who DON'T have the appearance of being the sort of "good protectors" who can beat up on other guys, because then I figure that the guy is less-likely to try to beat ME up if I tick him off.

Frankly, I can only feel relaxed around small-ish, medium-build men who have very gentle personalities. But I know that most women don't feel the way that I do: They seem to LIKE big, scary men, and they sneer at the littler guys (and the women who prefer them).

Regular guy. I hate feeling like I'm going to break a guy when I hug him

Definately regular guy, body builders usually have really OVER THE TOP muscly bodies - and thats kinda disgustiing.. no offence.
Besides, it doesn't really matter too much about the body, as long as its not horrifyingly ugly, then 'who cares'
