Is it very important, somewhat important, not too important, or not at all important...
This question was raised by an international public opinion survey conducted 4 years ago whose aim was to measure the impact of globalization, modernization, rapid technological and cultural change and the September 11 terrorist events on the values and attitudes of more than 38,000 people in 44 countries worldwide. The statistics extracted from the survey report www.people-press org reveal that more and more people are losing interest in RELIGION.
CURIOUS to know your opinion.

Personally, very important
... but only because World Peace is important to me.
The motivation of Religious fanatics is not money or politics. So threats of taking away a guys' piggy bank is not important to them. Muslim to Muslim dialogue is needed.
And the Muslims that are willing to co-operate with others need to know they are supported with Muslim - Christian - Jewish discussions.
I took part in a Peace Initiative in the Middle East. There were over 300 people in our group from many major religions, as well as civic and community leaders.
If the 3 Abrahamic religions - Jews, Christians and Muslims - can find peace, the world can find peace.

Religion is very important, because everything i am and think and do, is in relation with it.This don`t mean i am fanatical, or i make always the right thing, but i believe that my person is a consequence of it. For example, after a very big pain, like to loose somebody you love, from death, the only one thing helps me is my Faith, i will see again this person, and nothing is lost. This hope only the Faith can give. And if i do not fall in depression, is only because of it.

My religion is my life. Human beings are the only creation that has a need to worship. If I thought that this world as it is today was all I or future generations had to look forward to I would wait on death and have no children. My hope is to one day enjoy the glorious freedom (for the corruption and pain of this system) of the children of my God Jehovah.

Not at all Important. Why? Because religion is just made up by people to explain things or to control people's behavior. Modern Science explains things much better than religion. And we live under a system of laws and government now so we don't need any religious doctrine or so called 'morality' to control our behavior.

I live in Italy and I'm a Christian Catholic (Roman Church). For me religion is a very important thing in my life. I cannot see any purpose or meaning of life without God.
