I too work in a high profile profession, (Atty./Court system) where correct spelling is of the essence! The thing is, when you get to typing fast, YES, an error may occur, and "SPELL CHECK" doesnt even pick up everything....
I just answered someones question yesterday, clicked spell check, and then later some moron tells me that obviously isnt spelled "obviousyl" I mean, big deal, right??
So, basically, I just ignore the idiots, theres way too many to deal with!!
NO ONE IS PERFECT!

I know what you mean, sometimes when you type fast the wrong word comes out even though it's spelled correctly! I'll give you an example of how stupid people can be:
I wrote 'alot of Muslims seem to think'
The girl correcting me had a lot to say about the fact I'd missed a space out of 'a lot'.
She then went on to criticise me for saying that 'all Muslims seem to think' there for grouping them all together. She was the one who'd pointed out that I said 'a lot' not 'all'!! You have my sympathy!

There are people out there with too much time on their hands, when all they have to do is find fault in questions or grammar. I wouldn't worry about it and let little things get you worried or frustrated, or even feel you have to apologize for a mistake as little as that. Take care, good luck and happy spelling!

Are you sure they are looking for it or just came across it and told you about it. Funny thing is a misspelled word or wrong syntax in the English language can completely change what you are trying to communicate.

i agree with you, people should have some common sense and know what you mean. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was a typo. that stuff happens to me too. since i dont capitalize, people message me saying i need to learn grammar. i pretty sure they could figure out what im trying to ask, even if my words arent capitalized.
ps. i just realized i made a grammar mistake because i forgot to write im, i wrote "i" instead. see? it happens. people need to get over it.

because people think they are so smart...don't pay any attention to those idiots. they are all losers who have to put other people down to feel better about themselves. next time that happens, check other posts they have made. I bet you'll find a mistake on them, then you can send them an e-mail saying how stupid they are!

Why are you so sensitive about one person criticising your question that you will post about this outrageous offense?
Perhaps you should ask yourself "who needs to get a real life?"
After all, aren't we all answering Yahoo Answers?
Edit: By the way, you posted this question in 'Singles and Dating' where alternative education would be more appropriate.

YA just has so many losers, perverts and weirdos that you've got to accept maybe one or two (or a hundred!) people will find something smart to pick you up on ... and it's usually spelling or grammar.
BTW ... you misspelt "There" ... "Their" belongs to "Them", "There" is a particular place ... lol

hehe...mispelled words and bad grammar just get under some people's skin, like mine. sometimes it just gets to be too much to handle, and you kind of have to vent or something. i'm almost on the verge myself...oh wait, it's "there" not "their" i'm sorry!!! ROFL
