also went to see about it at the clerk office and found out that on the back of the ticket he also wrote the wrong cost amount.

So you think I should fight it or just pay it. Also the light was yellow when I was turning, but thats his word against mind.

Fight. The worse thing that could happen is they add court costs.

A wrong address could be grounds to dismiss but the officer has an opportunity to amend errors on a citation prior to trial. Any experienced cop will check his citation and correct any errors prior to court. As far as the fine amount being wrong, the amounts change by the week sometimes, and its hard to keep up with them so thats not a defense.

There are "Ticket Defense" attorneys that charge reasonable amounts to defend you in court and are experienced in exploiting any defects in a ticket, and usually give a "no points" guarantee even if you are found guilty.

Theres an old saying," A person that acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client".

It would probably be a good idea to get an attorney if you want to contest the ticket.

you can try to fight it in court and hope the officer does not show up (that is an easy out) or you can hope the judge use the officers mistakes against him and dismiss the ticket. This will cost you time and maybe court costs, you need to decide if your time is worth trying to get out of this ticket. You may even end up having to pay if you take this to court or not............as far as the 'yellow' vs 'red' that is like you said your word against his. Trust me the judge has heard that line a million times anyway.

Well it should be enough to get the ticket thrown out - but I am Canadian and the laws are similar but diferent here.

Also if the ticket has one line throught the dollar symbol instead of two then you are free to send in that amount in the curency of your choice. Most Canadians don't know this but if you stick to your guns and send in 52 Peso's -it's legal and there in nothing they can do about it.

Also some advice my old American manager gave me (it works in the US but not here) Whatever the fine amount is send in a check for a dollar or two more than that amount - They will cash the check and send you a check for the balence. Don't cash it

You see in order to take the points off you and to put it on the record against your license and such the transaction must be completed - by not cashing the change it is paid but incomplete - the syestem stops there -

I am envious of all you lucky chaps who have a fair system in your respective countries.
In mine, I've encountered a few which I haven't committed anything wrong but I still get booked. To mention a few:
1) I was booked for beating a red light. I've waited for the lights to turn green before proceeding, The policeman says when I say red it means red, arggh
2) I was stopped half way into a road and was booked for entering a no entry road.
Which I questioned him on no visible sign of a no entry sign.
He told me the sign is at the exit of the road, all the locals know it.
What say all of you?

If there is any incorrect info on the ticket, you should be able to get it dismissed. Also if you go to court and the cop that wrote the ticket doesn't show up (a lot of times they don't), the ticket will get dismissed.

WAIT! IF THE PRICE IS LOWER THAN BEFORE THAN DON'T COMPLAIN-- JUST PAY IT. AS FOR THE STREETS DON'T WORRY. LET THE FOOL BE WRONG. IF THE TICKET IS HIGH THAN FIGHT IT. "IF ORDER TO BEAT THE SYSTEM YOU MUST WORK WITH IT".
