Is 117 a good IQ score?

I scored 117 on my IQ test and I heard that is really good and then i heard its average can you help me?

Standardized IQ scores have a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 10 throughout the population. That means that the vast majority of people will fall into the 90 - 110 range. IF you took a standardized test and IF it was administered properly (i.e., not the on-line variety) a score of 117 indicates you are in the second standard deviation from the mean which puts you in approximately the top 5% of those who take the test.

You should be rather proud - 117 is actually a good score.
IQ stands for intelligence quotient. Supposedly, it is a score that tells one how “bright” a person is compared to other people. The average IQ is by definition 100; scores above 100 indicate a higher than average IQ and scores below 100 indicate a lower that average IQ. Theoretically, scores can range any amount below or above 100, but in practice they do not meaningfully go much below 50 or above 150.

Apparently, the IQ gives a good indication of the occupational group that a person will end up in, though not of course the specific occupation.

An IQ of 117 is great, its above average, mine is a bit higher than that but my friends are between around 90 and 110 and sometimes they figure out things quicker than me lol. As someone said before me common sense is also, in my opinion important to have, but i dont agree with her/him (sorry i forgot) that IQ doesnt matter.

117 is pretty good. above average. average is around 105 but before you start celebrating, make sure this is a legit IQ test, not an online IQ test. those should be taken with a grain of salt. but if it is a legit one, then you should be proud of yourself

IQ doesn't really count in real life. Common sense is much more useful.

I think that is on a lower side because they can go up to 150 i believe. so you're not bad and it's not perfect neither.
