im thinking of going 2 donegal, whats it like

many times. it's beautiful and somewhat rural. lots of small towns to visit. lots of golf courses. good fishing. one big town just inside the northern ireland border, derry (if you're irish), londonderry (if you're british). it's beautiful scenery, but the weather can be harsh at times. best time to visit is May-August, but that's also when all the Europeans, mostly Germans, head there too.

the town's really small but there's some really beautiful scenic places. also donegal is supposed to be the coldest part of Ireland
