For us here in Maine, we have always enjoyed going on Moose pulled sleigh rides.
Or, you might try bringing a bunch of friends and family and going tobogganing down one of our better mountains.
Maine is a great place in the winter!

For typical winter activities try anywhere in New England or Colorado. For a warm getaway I'd go for Miami or San Diego.

I vote for Florida. Orlando is great for amusement parks and other attractions. I was at Disney World on New Year's Day 2 years ago, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous (about 70 degrees)

Traverse City, MI. Hunting, fishing, snow mobiling, skiing, ice skating. I love it, but I'm a winter person.
