Yes you could, but first you have to get to America. You would have to have a green card to become a legal alien, then you can join. Despite popular beliefs, you can join the military and not be a citizen. When I went to boot camp, there was a girl that spoke maybe 4 words of English, her primary language being spanish, but she was able to enlist. In fact, if you still speak your native tongue, that might increase your chances of enlisting, getting promoted, and getting the MOS that you want. The military is always looking for bilingual personnel

you must be a legal, permanent resident of the US before you could enlist. as a Non citizen, you would be unable to become an Officer or get a Clearance.
Why don't you see about working for the Army in a civilian capacity as a translator or local doctor?

I believe you can. I've heard several stories since 9/11 of servicemen/women receiving their citizenship post-mortum, so they obviously were not citizens when they joined. I do believe you have to be a valid green card holder though...good luck!!!

I know that there are US service men and women who are not US citizens, so it may be possible. I suggest that you contact US military personnel in Iraq. Be prepared for some tough questions though!

I would talk to a recruiter but I don't think you can join. My USMC recruiter said no one from hostile countries can join. This was when a guy from Vietnam was trying to join and he was having problems.

Talk to someone there who is in the Army. It may be possible but you may have to travel to Germany even if it's possible.
