We did a 5-day road trip with our kids. we divided the trip into number of days - Day 1, Day 2 etc

Each day we mada a blog of our trip - where we started out from, wrote our stops in brief and took pictures of interesting sights if any. Since we were travelling between so many states, we took pictures of the road sign say "Welcome to ----- State" and also a car's licence plate from that state (like California, Golden State 4UBY666) etc.

At the end of the day, when we made our final stop for that day, we noted down the miles driven and miles left for the destination (like for eg if we stopped at XYZ City for the night and it was 600 miles from our start trip) we wrote "600 miles: XYZ City and took a picture of it.

The fewer words you use and the more fun pictures you put up, the more enjoyable it will be.

I took a 9 week trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii. What I decided to do was to keep a daily blog on my trip. Here's a link to my trip to show you how I did it. I set aside time at the end of the day to write what happened each day. That's what worked for me...setting up your own blog takes about 3 minutes. Just go to blogger.com and sign in. Have fun on your trip!

When I'm traveling, I love to use my Yahoo 360 blog site. I can upload pictures and post a summary each day. I find it better to post my thoughts "in the moment" rather than upon my return. Your thoughts are fresh, not obscured by layer upon layer of new excitement.
Not only does it give my friends a way to live vicariously through me (since none of them seem to want to go to Europe twice a year with me), but it is fun for me to look back on, too.

Write about it in chronological order (the first event, second event, and so on). Writing is all about taking the time to remember details and add adjectives. The possibilities are endless.
