My Austrian Passport is valid till the 5th of October 2006. Will they let me enter the US from the 1st Oct till the 27th? What does this document mean exactly?

Nope...you have to have a valid passport thru the whole trip. I know you won't change into someone else in that time, but thems is the rules...

Hmm I'm not sure if you can enter the U.S. without a valid passport, I think what that document might be referring to is extending an expired visa once you are already in the U.S. I could be wrong though. Check out this site, you might be able to find out about it here... http://perth.usconsulate.gov/consular/visas.html With all the new restrictions and stuff I doubt if they would allow entry on an expired or invalid passport. Make sure to check into this before you fly all the way out here! It would suck to be turned away and have to go straight back! Good luck to you!!!

Your passport has to have a clear six month validity. I have to get mine changed as I plan to visit in November and my passport expires next June.
