You cannot make her stop lying. If she is lying to you, and even continues to lie after being caught, she doesn't respect you. Trust is the basis of a healthy relationship. If she blatantly lies to you, your relationship is headed for trouble. If this behavior continues, seek another girlfriend.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!"

You don't! You can't make her stop. With that said the next best thing to do is leave her, play her game (may be that will help her understand the way you feel), get her professional help, or better yet, sit down and think about whether it is worth it (think: what advice you'd give your best friend if he were in your position), and if it is, then...you may want to accept her for what she is. Oh, yeah! If you opt for the latter, you may not want to dig too much through her stuff (if you do that is) Sometimes not knowing anything is more important (or at least less painful) than knowing too much.

The sad fact is that she may not be able to stop without the guidance of a professional delving in to why she feels the need to lie. Help her to see that her dishonesty may play a big part in the destruction of your relationship. Lies lead to distrust and without trust there can be no lasting relationship.

Dude, you cant make her stop. No matter how much you wish to do so, no matter how much you try to help, no matter how much you show her that she needs to do so, YOU CANNOT CHANGE ANYONE.

Here is something that I have learned in 41 years.

A person only changes because

1. The price or cost of what they want or what they do becomes more then THEY are willing to pay or give up.

2. They way they are acting or being stops getting them what THEY want.

Maybe breaking up with her will provide her reason, maybe not. Maybe you meant that much to her, maybe not. I hate to say this to you, but with most women, they themselves are the most important thing in their life. Until something means enough to her or costs her enough to make her wise up, she wont change.

You will either have to learn to deal with this behavior and all that it brings or simply dump her. You cant change her and no amount of wishing will fix it. ONLY YOUR GIRLFRIEND CAN CHANGE HER.

Are the lies dumb and pointless or serious? My EX did that, and I told her that if she keeps lying to me this is not gonna work. She said she'd stop. She lied. I dumped her.

Trust is VERY important in the relationship. Without trust all you have is doubt, and with doubt all you have is pain.

You have no control over someone else's behaviour. Someone who consistently lies is untrustworthy and this behaviour will undermine any kind of intimacy you may have together. Be strong enough to leave. You deserve Bliss.

Maybe she doesn't know the difference between a lie and the truth. You might want to consider finding someone that don't lie to you and that you can trust.

If she keeps lying to you maybe she is hiding something. Maybe another guy....
You should kep an eye on her and check her Hand phone when she is not looking. check her recieved calls.
But to make her stop just threaten to break up with her. and if she still doesn't stop break up with her. there are many more better girls than that.
